Colbert is less of a joke than Hillary Giuliani or Rudy Clinton.
Oh Colbert is no joke.
But I doubt he want to win...so his electable ass needs to play this one perfectly or he'll be Redford in The Candidate.
He'd be a campaign manager's wet dream: youngest of 12 kids, Dad and brothers tragically killed; practising Catholic; married with kids; good looking; smart; and can write his own damn speeches!
come to think of it, he and john stewart are my (political) wet dream....
Too bad about Obama and the McClurkin fund-raising mess.
Colbert appeals to young, jaded adults and that's a very small segment of the population.
The question is, should he win, would he govern as Colbert or as "Colbert?"
If he makes it on a ballot up here, I'm voting for him. At the rate we're going, it's only a matter of time before we elect an out comedian President anyway, present comical genius currently in the White House excluded.
