Change happens…

A bitch is a huge fan of inner work…and Lawd knows that Diane Fedele of the Chaffey Community Republican Women, Federated, needs to get about the bitness of looking inward fast as a motherfucker.

Fedele is responsible for sending this to her fellow members with a caption that read "Obama talks about all those presidents that got their names on bills. If elected, what bill would he be on? Food stamps, what else!".
And for issuing subsequent denials that the image is in any way based on racial stereotypes.

At first this bitch wondered why people who clearly were getting their Birth of a Nation on are now trying to pitch some lame ass bullshit about not seeing the image as racist.

But then it dawned on me that Fedele and her family may actually believe that an Obama presidency will usher in just such a food stamp…and a cabinet of black folk who will dine on watermelon that they’ll surely wash down with grape Kool-Aid while dancing a jig in the Oval Office.

Lawd, give me strength.

Anyhoo, a certain Ron from Montana (my favorite conservative email-based debate foe for over three years) sent a link to an article about this food stamp mess stating that he’d already decided to vote for Obama but that this racist mess made him leave the Republican party altogether.

I’ve been arguing with the man for years…years, I tell you! But it took Diane Fedele’s public display of bigotry and news of those robo-calls from hell and a series of scary angry mob-based Palin rallies to make Ron from Montana go Independent.

Fuck it.

Works for me!

Change happens when it is meant to happen...

The stunt that Republican women's group pulled was so ignorant that I actually laughed when I saw it. Long and hard. They are so stuck in a time warp they should rename their group The Republican Flat Earth Society.

Ron, if you're reading this, congrats in saying buh-bye to the GOP. Cheers.

Me. Here. Right now. said...

I hit this this week also:

Makes me sick.

As my neighbors circle round with their Yes on Prop 8 signs and have now to see this Obama Bucks thing, I have lost all heart that we are the progressive state we say we are.

That's some fucked up shit.
What can you say?

I think we've learned a lot about where mainstream conservatives stand in this election cycle and it's an ugly thing, but at least we know and people like Ron have been given the opportunity to decide where they stand and take the appropriate action.

OK Shark Fu you know I love you, but this has to be said. Sometimes we cullud folk agree and sometimes we dont. This is one of those dont times.

Specifically: a jig? Black folks dancing A JIG?!

No. No no no no no.

When we hit the oval office, we are going to be busting hip hop moves all the way. I'm going to be wearing a gold lame miniskirt and shaking what my mama gave me to the most gangsta of gangsta rap. I mean really. A jig is so... ancien regime. Come on now.

I am incredulous and speechless. She could have at least used the "humourous plea" a la Fuzzy Zoeller about Tiger Woods but for God's sake, not ignorance.Sooo glad i don't live in the US.

It's hard to believe that some people are so dumb. I mean, soooomehow watermelon, Kool-Aid, fried chicken and barbecued ribs all end up in the same picture and nothing else. What a coincidence! And then they say it like other folks with believe it.

As a resident of Cali I heard about this pathetic shit last week.

WTF was that dumb ass thinking?

I do like how you handled it in your post Shark Fu...and as for Rob in Montana...welcome brotha! Whatever helps you jump on the bandwagon works for me too. ;)

Desperate times make the worst come out in everyone, I wont say the Republicans are all racist but it's hard to deny how they have been using the following...

--Claims that Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac are the prime culprits for the current world-wide economic turmoil. Everyone knows that they loan to lower-income people and minorities.

--In recent weeks the racially-charged word "welfare" has been used, somehow in connection with Obamas tax plan.

--YouTube videos of the McCain-Palin rallies are littered with racist remarks like I have never seen in our politics.

--This whole attack on ACORN, a group which focuses much of its effort on registering minorities to vote.

--Using "community organizer" as a smear, another term that has racial connotations.

I just got to say, if Bill Ayres was black, this election would be over.

In fact, when this election IS over, if Obama wins half the country is going to think that a socialist-terrorist is in the White House, all because of the type of campaign being run right now.

The Gumdrop Stage of Grief ...

So many of you have shared condolences and support after the death of my beloved brother Bill from COVID-19. I wish I could thank you indiv...
