Locks of Love...

This bitch has to do something my ass hates to do…

Sigh.

A bitch must…gulp…apologize for sending extreme bitchitude into the universe regarding a certain Ann Curry of The Today Show and her hair.

Whew.

Well, her hair does look better short and she has been growing it out without really issuing an explanation! Shit, a bitch just thought she had lost her mind or something. And then my ass started mouthing off about how she shouldn’t grow it out if she’s just going to pull it back and…UGH!!...how was this bitch supposed to know that she was growing her hair out to donate to Locks of Love?

Lawd, a bitch feels slightly shitty…but NBC should have explained to better over the last year.

Anyhoo…a bitch is sorry for all of the bitchy comments my ass has made regarding Ann Curry’s hair. Locks of Love is a fantabulous charity that collects natural hair donations and provides hair pieces for kids undergoing cancer treatment!

But hey, a bitch owned up to it!

As for the mountain of bitchitude this bitch has thrown at Katie Couric…well, that stands. Shit, a bitch has a new television set and Ms. Couric is still orangish-pink. She may actually be that color. Lawd, can you imagine Katie in high definition?

Mercy.

I think coming clean about it is good. :) Locks of Love is great, and I wonder if maybe she didn't talk about it because she didn't want it to seem like a big publicity stunt. That's my thought.

I donated my hair last year to Locks. I told my hairdresser I wanted to do something different. She broke out a ruler, measured my hair, and said if I went radically short, I could donate my hair.

*snip* *snip*

It was a done deal.

rofl@the Katie Couric hate. I'd love to read previous Katie disses since the broad annoys me too.

I wish my hair grew out that long... I had a friend who explained to her little girl (5 or 6 at the time) why she was growing her hair out, and her little girl insisted on growing her hair too! I thought that was such a special beautiful thing to share!

FYI- There are even salons that will cut your hair for free if you are donating. I was broke when I did the locks'o'love thing last November after giving birth to my beautiful, healthy and happy daughter Eva. I had been growing it out for a few years in order to do so, but having a healthy baby just made it all that more important. Just check their website.

ABB- props for spreading the truth...a lesser bitch would have ignored the facts after they became known. You are bringing attention to a great cause.

Remember, I am expecting you and C-money to make the four hour trek to the D when you are done with your adventures in Chicago..

I thought you should know that Locks of Love does NOT make wigs for children with cancer. Their wigs are made for people with "long term" hair loss, and chemotherapy is not considered "long term". Most of their wigs go to people with "alopecia areata". It says so right on their homepage if you don't believe me.

Furthermore, their charity report on give.org is very informative of their true nature.

They make far fewer wigs than the number of ponytails they collect would supply, and seem to have no valid explanation for this.

Just thought you should know. Cheers!

People need to STOP promoting Locks of Love. It does NOT make any wigs for children with cancer.

I am very angry about this because my son has cancer and my mother donated hair to this organization.

Locks of Love makes very few wigs to give away to kids . . the sell the hair overseas and keep the profit.

I'm sick about this.

The only non-profit that creates free wigs for kids with cancer is:
Wigs for Kids:

Check it out.
