Ok, I know that we still have a very long way to go but I want it known that these incidents are up in north Louisiana, not down here in the south. Once you cross US 190 here, the cultures are completely different. I wouldn't live north of US 190 for all the money in the world.

Having growed (heh) up north of US 190, I can say we were definitely giving rural Mississippi and Alabama a run for their racist money...but I saw plenty parts of Cajun country that'd ride any non-white out on a rail if they could.
What I'm most surprised at isn't the racism; I knew that was there. I'm surprised at the seemingly PROUD displays of hatred these noose-hangers are tossing about, as if to suggest they don't really care if the're seen for what they are.
