Later that night, in Alexandria…

two people demonstrated that noose tying skills are still holding strong in the region and that the hanging of nooses to send a message isn’t limited to Jena Louisiana.

Mercy.

Wow...that's all I can say.
What did they think was going to happen?

Clearly, this kind of display is saying a lot about the state. But which is worst: the racism you see or the racism you don't see??

I don't have the answer.

Ok, I know that we still have a very long way to go but I want it known that these incidents are up in north Louisiana, not down here in the south. Once you cross US 190 here, the cultures are completely different. I wouldn't live north of US 190 for all the money in the world.

Applauding the Alexandria police for shutting this down and charging these two little racist shits. That's what the idiot DA in Jena should have done.

Ok, feeling a bit better. Now for the comment...

And the current government (won't just lay this on the Bushies cause look at what congress is doing these days) wants to focus all the energy on what a political organization calls someone?????

Oh, Barefoot Cajun,
Having growed (heh) up north of US 190, I can say we were definitely giving rural Mississippi and Alabama a run for their racist money...but I saw plenty parts of Cajun country that'd ride any non-white out on a rail if they could.
What I'm most surprised at isn't the racism; I knew that was there. I'm surprised at the seemingly PROUD displays of hatred these noose-hangers are tossing about, as if to suggest they don't really care if the're seen for what they are.
