Remembering Oscar Peterson…

Jazz legend Oscar Peterson died Sunday.

I adore Jazz and particularly the unique style of Oscar Peterson…the swing and the technical brilliance of his music will live on as an amazing musical legacy.

If you are not familiar with his music you need to take care of that because when Oscar Peterson played it made a person grateful the piano was invented...

I am not fan of his.
I prefer the likes of Albert Ayler, the fierce Free Jazz and current Jazz from Europe and Japan and some few outsiders from the States.

But is is a crime how the majority of Afro-Americans do limit themselves regarding their own culture. Few bloggers [AA] actually wrote about him.
And the lack of new instrumentalists mirrors this ignorance.

SAD indeed!
