NO-O-O-O-O I love Bebe Moore Campbell. Her writing is awesome. I love her tales about growing up in Philly and coming back down South for the summer with her Daddy. This is so very sad.
Fly with the angels, dear lady.
NOOOOOO!
I have all her books and I've given them as gifts, too.
I had no idea she was ill.
OMG!!
I just, gave "Brothers and Sisters" to a friend as a gift today.
I can't believe this. *shakes head*
Damn color me bummed! Why do people like her die so young and others like Cheney and Rumsfeld live seemingly forever? SHIT!
Y'all...my grandmother used to say that some people are too evil to die. It is beyond sad.
eeax...why the fuck do people pop up here and attempt to tell me what to do? Who are you people?
Fuck off knave!
The wise know that bitchitude feeds the soul...
i've never read anything by her, but i just checked out her wikipedia article... what a busy woman!
it really is a tragedy that someone that prolific should be lost before fully flowering into old age... she was doing literature, children's books, plays, and all of them successful.
sigh...
Bebe Moore Campbell wrote some remarkable books. 72 Hour Hold is the best book on mental illness in the family. Insightful and kind, without being sentimental.
my apologies for coming so late to the discussion...but ohmygod.
oh.my.god.
today is christmas and i found out this morning that james brown died today.
now this.
i had no idea that she was ill.
i'm shocked and deeply saddened.
