The Ms. SisterGirl Cabrio Voter Shuttle...

A bitch had to wait in line for 30 minutes to vote this morning and my ass couldn't be more thrilled!

Lawd, a bitch is all emotional...for real.

To the 9 first time voters I had the honor of driving to the polls this morning...go on with your bad selves! Thank you for leading by example, getting your suffrage on and making this bitch laugh and cry at the same time.

To my fellow volunteers, many of whom are still door knocking as I type, y'all are and forever will be the shit!

Vote chil'ren!

Make sure your friends, family, partner, mate, lover, bootie call, co-workers and neighbors are able to get to the polls.

Be the transportation, conversation or nudge that makes the vote a reality for someone today.

Mmmhmmm.

Fluff your afro...'cause you know you want to look cute now that CNN has planted themselves in the 'Lou for the long haul...freshen your lipstick, go forth and get your suffrage on!

This bitch and the Ms SisterGirl Cabrio Voter Shuttle are off to North City...

My youngest child turned 18 a few months ago. He registered to vote (I was so proud) and when his sample ballot came in the mail, he sat down to read it, and we discussed pros and cons of various issues and candidates. Last week we went to the early voting that our state offers. I watched from outside the polling place (which was packed, yay!) as he came out, wearing his "I Voted" sticker, I couldn't help but be the Proud Mama. His gg-grandma marched and fought for suffrage in Nebraska, and I think she musta been looking down from Heaven, proud as all get out.

Don't want to jinx it or anything, but I wanted to be the 1st to say - Congratulations! Looks like you've got yourself a Democratic Senator. Fingers crossed the numbers hold.

(I myself live in Barack-land, so I'm all good.)

Congrats, ABB. I cannot wait to have days off from work with pay so that financial hardship won't stand in the way of increased activism during election cycles. That said, it did feel GOOD to exercise my political muscle and flip those switches for change (mostly). And we got it!

Good morning, ABB - did you hear that we, here in Massachusetts, finally have our first Black Governor. Yeah, yippee and hooray! Now, the fact that he is black is just icing on the very intelligent, knowledgeable, capable, experienced, articulate and gracious cake that is Deval Patrick. I'm so proud to have him as our new Governor! Finally, the black citizens of Massachusetts will feel represented. (Your writing is amazing, truly awe-inspiring.) You shouls have your own radio and/or TV show. But, I guess the FCC would take exception to the language (wink, laugh). Thank you for your honesty!

So are we all doing the dance of joy this morning? I know I am, and trying to keep it contained in my republican leaning office isn't easy! We're not done but it's a helluva start - and what about South Dakota!! I absolutely cheered when I heard that the ban on abortion was no more. Yeah!!!

Fantabulous!

Nail biters all over the state this morning. It looks like the important winners did so by a very slim margin, and ABB getting out there and assisting people with their voting just may have been the contributing factor.

Which means I owe you dinner, girl. Sweetie Pie's?
