Words can not express my emotions upon learning that the 35W Bridge collapsed last night in Minneapolis.
My prayers are with everyone touched by this tragedy.
I was born in Minneapolis and I live in a river city...merciful God, I can't even imagine what y'all are going through.
We are with you Minneapolis and do not hesitate to let us know what, if anything, we can do to help…

I join you in your concern for those touched by the tragedy in Minnesota.
This, however, points out what I feel was the real oversight of this administration post 9/11.
When aircraft were grounded and commerce slowed to a crawl, we should have taken steps to improve our infrastructure instead of launching a war of choice.
Can you imagine if the dollars spent in Iraq had been used to improve trains, water systems, tunnels, bridges and our electrical grid?
We would certainly be closer to where we need to be for a better future.
All of us are holding good thoughts for Minnesota.
And, I agree with Brian. When we started this war we knew that the infrastructure all over the country was in trouble. That's what those blackouts on the east coast were caused by.
Every time something tragic happens - I think, that could have been my child
Every time I hear about a soldier dying - I think, that could have been my child
And I weep for all of us.
