Introducing Ms. Sistergirl MacBook...

A bitch is thrilled to announce the newest edition to my world of bitchitude...Ms. Sistergirl MacBook!

We're getting along very well. She hit the ground running right out of the box, which is freakishly consistent with the advertising on this product.

Who knew those smug Apple ads were on point?

Not this bitch!

Well, now I'm a fan...big time.

But blogging is a wee bit different, so be patient as a bitch adjusts....

Excellent choice. I think you'll be surprised at how 'intuitive' the new machine is. Macs are fun to work/play with and you won't have any problems with viruses. Everything just runs better - without crashing.

Congratulations on the new purchase !

For PC people to switch to Apple, Mac does take a bit to get used to from what I hear. Nothing major, just a new way of working the system.

I'm too PC/Dell entrenched to change. I've had many chances (like recently), but I still stick with Dell.

Dinker is the next in the family to get a computer ... her first. We might go Apple then. Who knows.

A big congrats, Shark!!! May your fingers feel light, your typing be sharp, and your words spot-on!

Welcome to the land of Macintosh. I just got a new 20" iMac (also with a built-in camera) so we really must video chat now.

You do still need to set up some security. Especially if you're using Entourage (Outlook for Mac).

Consider Brickhouse, which is a firewall shareware app: secure, easy, and cheap.

Also consider using Firefox (if you're not already) and NoScript to avoid Java hacks.

But most of all, enjoy your Mac. You'll never go back.

On random thing: You may not know that holding the command key and clicking will 'mimic' a right-mouse-button click (eg open up contextual menus). Many new users seem to miss this part.

You will love Mac. Mac is for creative people. Next you have to get a digital video camera so you can edit your footage on iMovie, add a soundtrack and then burn multiple DVDs for all your friends.
