Remembering Tamara Dobson...

Tamara Dobson died Monday of complications from pneumonia and multiple sclerosis at the age of 59.

Ms. Dobson was known for her film roles as Cleopatra Jones.

Rest in peace, sister....

She will be missed. I was just thinkin' 'bout homegirl the other day saying I need to add 'Casino of Gold' to my Sistahs That Kiss Ass dvd collection section...

Thank you for your writing. I especially liked your previous entry about expectations. As a black female physician, who now has a black daughter in 3rd grade, you summarize beautifully what we went through, and continue to go through. I found your blog by putting in a search for nappy hair or something. Loved your comments about the girl in front of you with the weave or perm, looking at you crazy. sharon
