Fantabulousness...

The Grand Canyon is so amazing it is almost too much.

Longtime readers know that this bitch is not known to post pictures...and these fail to capture the fantabulousness...but Lawd, have mercy this was too wonderful not to attempt to capture!

Shit, the drive to and from Sedona was amazing too!

I don't know how people get anything done, though.

I'd be forever looking out the window...and sighing happily.

Beware the sadistic tour bus operator. The one that likes to drive really close to the edge, tell you to look down, and then remind you how far down it is, and how close to the edge you really are.

I canceled my tour for the next day & left.

Just beautiful. Thanks for the hi-res photo--got me a new screensaver! Seriously wish that I were there. Think I will have to do it next year! Enjoy.

I remember yelling at my sweetie to "Pull over! Pull over!" when I just got a glimpse of the canyon from the road. I thought we were going to miss it, I guess. It's like I thought there was only one good spot to see the canyon from, and we were driving right past it. But there are dozens and dozens and miles annd miles of spots, and they're all fabulous. There is absolutely nothing like that very first sight.

I'm so glad you loved the Grand Canyon. We went years ago and it was just breathtaking. Your top picture brought it all back for a moment; what it was like to climb over an arch and see this magnificent thing that seems to go on forever. On night, at sunset, we saw a condor in the distance.

Congratulations, also, on the article in The Guardian.
