FYI...

A certain someone sent this bitch an e-mail asking for information about suicide prevention among LGBT youth.

I recommended that she contact Growing American Youth, PFLAG and The Trevor Project. She replied that she had never heard of The Trevor Project until today but that when she Googled it she found an article on it over at CNN.com!

The Trevor Project operates the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth. LGBT youth are 4 times as likely to attempt or consider suicide than their peers.

Anyhoo, just in case y’all have never heard of The Trevor Project…visit their web site.

This case troubles me almost as much as "The Boy in the Box" case in Philadelphia, PA in 1957. It's troubling because it speaks to the culture of violence that we live in. Although both crimes occurred 26 years apart, they reflect a similar disdain for human dignity by the haphazard way in which they were discarded. Both were abused in some manner and deliberately disfigured to disguise to obscure their identity which points to cowardice. These perpitrators are weak and lack empathy for others especially those close to them that is why I suspect that both crimes were committed by a relative, family member or close friend. That is just my synopsis but a criminal profiler may have another opinion of the offenders.
