I’ve been hunkered down in my house waiting out The Great Snowgasm of 2011…and I’m watching the coverage of events in Egypt.
Things are changing on the ground so swiftly that it’s hard to keep up…but, as I type, journalists and activists are being attacked in the square by government forces.
My thoughts are with the people…
...as I watch along with the world.

The NYT reported that people are being paid handsome sums to go into the main square and attack the protesters. These people will stop at nothing to hold onto power.
Take good care in the snowpocolypse.
Why call yourself a bitch my sister?
Church Lady...
That's another post for another time.
Regardless of what role the Muslim Brotherhood is going to play in this (I've heard that they are an extremist group and are behind some of the uprising?), I think it is inspirational. The People are doing something about their government. Forget for a moment who or what organization they may represent or want. Forget the fact that Mubarak was a US backed leader.
The people are putting their foot down and changing their government. And that's something to be proud of - Religious Extremists, Dictators or Moderate Democracy cries regardless. That's something a lot of my more political savvy friends don't see. All they see is another country that could become a Islamic republic.. and all I see is the people changing the government to what they want. And they may want that.
Because they are--seemingly at least doing this without the U.S. nation-building. The Christians there will probably not be slaughtered and further disenfranchised; as the Assyrians were in Iraq.
