A certain Ramsey from Jackson Mississippi sent this bitch an email asking for my thoughts on yesterday’s blow-up on The View.
Confession – I don’t watch The View, but I caught coverage of Bill O’Reilly's absolute statements about Muslims being terrorists followed by Whoopi and Joy Behar walking off set.
Trifling.
All right Ramsey, here you go!
Shark-Fu’s first thought on the blow-up…
I forgot Bill O’Reilly even existed.
I suspect he’s aware that folks have forgotten his ass exists, which is probably why he took a discussion of another mosque being built in Manhattan where he took it. Getting attention for saying incendiary shit is what O’Reilly does and, by supplying a platform, The View played right into his hands. But fuck it – The View got attention and O’Reilly got attention...so fuck the fact that this public display of anti-Muslim rhetoric continues a shameful trend of labeling all Muslims terrorists.
Ugh.
Shark-Fu’s second thought on the blow-up…
Maybe O’Reilly has stage fright.
I know there are some hockey players who get over a case of the nerves by jumping the boards and checking the shit out of someone during their first shift of the game.
Mayhap getting his ig'nance on is O’Reilly’s coping mechanism.
He’s sitting there in a cold sweat, hands shaking a bit, and wondering what he can do to calm down…suddenly they’re all talking about the proposal to build another mosque in Manhattan near the site of the September 11 attack in NYC and O’Reilly sees his opportunity! So he tosses out some shit about how Muslims attacked America...knowing the designated liberals would jump on that absolute statement. And they did.
Thus O’Reilly was able to get his bluster on…voices were raised followed by that walk-off stuff…and his nerves probably settled down enough for him to circle back to a bullshit half-ass apology that isn’t getting covered as much as the initial accusation painting all Muslims as terrorists.
Mission accomplished?
Or...O'Reilly could just be a publicity hungry ass trying to make a come back now that Beck has taken his spot on the John Birch Society Kickball Team.
Shark-Fu’s final thought on the blow-up on The View…
Shit like this is exactly why I don’t watch The View.
I really can't stand sound-bite debates set up by formula casting…and a group of women with a basic understanding of the topic under discussion who are willing to engage in intellectually lazy absolute statement making “discussions” makes this bitch itch.
When they go at each other while using the perception and reputation of all Muslims as their weapon of choice, they pretty much make the case for why friends don’t let friends debate while ignorant.
Thanks for asking!

Yep, I think you nailed it. I keep hoping he and his ilk will just disappear, but so far, no luck.
I will admit to being surprised - I would have thought he wouldn't have had enough courage to get anywhere near Whoopi. I love watching her make mincemeat out of idiots like him!
I hadn't heard about the latest anti-Muslim crap to be spewed, but let's just suffice it to say I'm not surprised.
Now that I've got your summary, I'm STILL not going to go watch it. When idiots spew their hate, I simply shake my damn head.
If anything is trifling it's those yacking screaming mimis on that crappy show. They are like fingernails on a chalkboard and yes it should be firmly established that O'really is an asshole but they are NO better! Joy is a loudmouth, venomous, racist and hypocrite and Whoopi is the same jackass that defended a slimy pedophile and Mel Gibson. both of them are as full of crap as that Fake Noise drone.

hmmm... now that I know you take requests...
First, I'm not a fan of Bill O'Reilly so this won't be about him...
What it will be about is the apparent loss of freedom, especially freedom of speech.
Let's get started. What say you about the firing of Juan williams?
And what do you think about the Molly Norris incident?
What, you don't know who Molly Norris is? (No fair running to Google).
For the edification of your readers, Molly Norris is the Seattle cartoonist employed by a Seattle paper who called for the international "Everybody Draw Mohammad" day. As your readers may or may not know, the suggestion went viral on the web and damn near caused another international cartoon incident. Fortunately, the islamists stepped in and an international incident was averted. The only victim was Molly Norris. Threats from members of the religion of peace prompted the FBI to recommend that Molly go "ghost." That's right, Molly no longer exists. At least not as Molly Norris. She lost her job, had to change her name and move on. I'd say she entered the witness protection program, but that would be incorrect as she is not a witness (no muslim is on trial here) nor is she being protected (her disappearance is at her own expense out of fear for her life and just a little strong-arm prodding by the FBI).
So the question I posit to you is thus: Did Molly Norris act in such a reprehensible way that she deserved to literally lose her life?
Does she not have the constitutional right of freedom of speech or should she be convicted of a hate crime?
As a christian, one of God's commandments tells us not to take the Lord's name in vain. Fortunately, us christians have not interpreted that to mean we need to issue death threats against anyone that does.
Finally, I believe muslims have a right to practice their religion. I just don't believe they have a right to force non-muslims to practice their religion.
Which is exactly what happened to Molly Norris and Juan Williams and an increasingly long list of people who haved dared to speak in opposition to Islam.
So ABB, I'd love for you to weigh in on this.
‘nuff already…
Let’s see…
I think the firing of Juan Williams for the reasons given was wrong.
Regarding the Norris incident…um, well I didn’t require the Google gods to know who Norris is.
Lawd, save me from those who seek to insult my intelligence before 9am on a Monday.
Sigh.
I defend freedom of speech because I use freedom of speech. Whether I disagree with what is being said, drawn or done – that’s the challenge of being an American and that’s the challenge far too many of us fail to meet.
Defending freedom of speech doesn’t mean not calling out bullshit for what it is.
And as a writer I know all too well that there are consequences for what we say. A writer or cartoonist may face firing for content - that happens every day and often has nothing to do with religion. Those firings often spark debates that actually strengthen freedom of speech, painful though they may be.
Death threats and threats of violence are clearly wrong...and sadly are a tried and true tactic of those who seek to shut others up, on all sides of the political spectrum.
As for Muslims trying to make everyone a Muslim...well, I call bullshit on that.
Respect is not the same as devotion – I find it intellectually lazy to attempt to make the case that anyone is demanding Christians become Muslims simply because they ask that pundits not define everyone who practices Islam as a terrorist.
And I find it tragic that so many who claim to be people of faith fear respecting other people of faith.
There, but for the grace of a majority, go thee.
Respecting what other people are does not mean you have to become what they are.
Until we the people get that we’ll keep messing this shit up, insulting the hell out of each other and indulging in public displays of ig’nance that make our claims of “freedom” an international joke.
Toodles!
