Happy Friday, y’all!
A bitch glanced at the calendar and realized that that the 35th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision is coming up.
On Tuesday, January 22, 2008, Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region (PPSLR) and the Freedom of Choice Council (FCC) will celebrate 35 years of reproductive freedom by commemorating the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case which legalized abortion nationwide, at the highly anticipated Fired Up for Freedom event.
For more information visit www.myspace.com/STLfreedomofchoicecouncil
I shall be there, afro fluffed and party shoes on!
Pause…consider…continue…
Shit, if Roe v. Wade turns 35 this month then this bitch will be 35 in February.
Blink.
Thank Gawd a bitch is still fine as hell (wink)!
Like freedom of choice, a bitch gets better with each year in existence.

Happy Anniversary, Pam! to both you and Roe..........I'm damn happy that your mom and dad didn't exert their Roe rights cause yo' fine ass would surely have been missed by us all!!!
I wish you many more anniversaries,
Dandy of Atl.
Oh, and I forgot to mention how much I love your voice on the radio, not to mention your right-on blogging........thank you for you!

I just hit 34.
roe passed in january and i became pregnant in february, making use of a clinic in tulsa in april. prior to roe, my friends had, over the years, OD'd on various drugs, drank iodine, had their boyfriends hit them in the stomach, jumped off the roof, starved, and one died, puncturing her uterus needle with a knitting needle and subsequently bleeding to death. several junior high school girls were flown to england for late term saline abortions. i remember two who were taken to mexico. what a fucking nightmare.
the fear of pregnancy was a constant. i despise those who would take back this landmark decision and take us back to such a time of fear and danger.
i don't know who will win the democratic nomination for president, but whatever happens, we must not allow another republican administration. we will lose the supreme court and we will lose roe and that will be a travesty.
