A bitch’s coffee maker has died…

Ugh.

The only thing worse than getting up for a 6am flight…

…is having the coffee maker chose that occasion to die.

Sob.

Oh, the humanity!

A bitch stumbled into the kitchen…filled up the coffee thing with coffee…filled up the other thing with water…and it the button.

***cue crickets***

No delightful sound of coffee being made.

No sense of anticipation as the scent fills the air.

Nothing.

Khan!

Pause…collect thyself…continue.

Suffice it to say this bitch is going to be slightly incoherent until my ass can score some java at the airport.

Toodles until tomorrow…

I feel your pain - truly! Theres little that isnt traumatizing at that hour.

You need to get yourself the old style silver grecas that you place on the stove itself. they never go wrong. & they are cheaper!

If anything, they are less traumatic.

happy and safe travels bitch.

Poor little coffee maker!

Hope the trip is uneventful and you get caffeinated somewhere along the way.

You should get a coffee press. It makes much better coffee than a machine, and it's human-powered.

Unless, of course, that's too "bougie" for you... :)

Agree with Middle Ear. You can pick an inexpensive one up purely as backup. Other options include pouring boiling water into the basket yourself, or dumping grounds into a pot of hot water and then draining the mess through a coffee filter. So long as the hot water hit the grounds!

That is just wrong. You're a better Bitch than I am-- I'd have just crawled back into bed.
Hope you get some tasty caffeinage and have a safe journey!

You need to have a support network like me.

If my coffee maker breaks down I can guarantee that my beloved, my family, my friends and my co-workers will replace it within the hour.

If they know what's good for them.

Ack! Tragedy!

I like using a coffee press, but it leaves too many grounds in the coffee for me. My personal favorite is an electric percolater, but I have an ordinary drip pot at present.

I agree with Middle Ear...pressed coffee is w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l. A Bitch would enjoy it! Happy Trails :)

Three words: Back-up french press...

for those hard to deal with moments.

Ooh, you have my sympathies!

I can't afford to buy coffee, so I drink the free stuff at work (a school). On Thursday, I had to break up a fight before I could even get my coffee.

It's nearly 8:30PM but I just ran into my kitchen make sure that ours still works.

The problem has been solved, my baby power dyke sistah!

But the cheap ass replacement will have to be upgraded come pay day.

By the gods, I will never be without java on demand again!!
