Like walking through a river of mud…

A bitch is dealing with a case of The Downs, y’all.

They happen…even to strong black women (wink). I’ve learned to acknowledge them and how to handle them…but The Downs make doing everything feel like a bitch is walking through a river of waste deep mud.

Ugh.

Anyhoo, last night I took a break from all things news related and watched the Red Wings v Blackhawks hockey game. ‘Twas a great game, but a bitch was able to maintain an emotional distance because it is illegal for Blues fans to get worked up for the Wings or the Hawks. So, this bitch was able to enjoy the game for the demonstration of fantabulous hockey that it was without having my nerves taxed.

The red Wings won…in overtime…and set up a re-match of last year’s Stanley Cup final with the Penguins.

And longtime readers know that this bitch adores the Stanley Cup finals. Mayhap my ass will indulge in some live blogging…hmmm?

Moving forward…

I woke up this morning to a report on Good Morning America that a Philadelphia mother allegedly faked her car jacking abduction and went to Disney World with her daughter.

Specifically, she allegedly lied about the two black men who hit her and her daughter, stuffed them in the trunk of the car then took off with them to points unstated.

Sigh.

A bitch’s first reaction…
Thank the gods everyone is okay!

A bitch’s second reaction…
Why the fuck do people bring black men into their fake crime plots? Don’t they know that shit rarely has a god outcome?

If the police buy it, then you’ve got a Boston Charles Stuart “let’s haul all of them into jail and get us a confession, y'all!” situation that will linger with the staying power of a stank fart in a humid room. You’ll be found out…after the community is divided, racist ‘string ‘em up’ feelings are resurrected and the civil rights of hundreds are violated.

If the police don’t buy it, you’ll still be the dumb ass bigot who tried to use fear of the black man to cover up your personal drama. The community will still divide, just not a sharply…and you’ll still be left to deal with your fucking personal drama plus a healthy dose of ‘oh, no she didn’t!’ in jail.

Just once I’d like one of these people to say a Jonas brother look-a-like jacked their car and took their baby.

Just once.

Shit.

A bitch’s final reaction…
Now that we know there probably wasn’t an abduction, could the producers of Good Morning America stop showing the daughter’s picture? Please!! The kids been through some serious shit and now she’s going to have to deal with some more serious shit…cut her a break, for the love of all that’s logical and decent.

Lawd, have mercy…

Oh, lord - laughing so hard.

"Or it might have been a dingo, hard to say."

Here's hoping your downs rise like fresh bread on Sunday morning.

When can we just get to a point of realizing that when someone screams that "(enter # here) black men carjacked me and I don't know where I am" via cell phone, especially when its to the spouse/boyfriend/sig other, that there's a good possibility that they are running away? Seems to be the case more often than not. Just sayin...

I can't stand this shit. I mean rly? did she HAVE to go there? Reminds me of that mom a while back who lied about her daughter's dad being killed in Iraq to get the daughter backstage at a Hannah Montana concert, a trip to Disney World, or some other goofy shit. WTF is wrong with telling your kid no? Hey sweetie, we can't do that because we don't have the extra cash - that's all you need to say, and my boys are hearing that all the damned time in this economy!

Churchill used to suffer with bouts of severe depression. He called them his "black dog'. Perhaps you could call yours your 'black bitch'!

Tricky thing depression. I have never suffered from it except once, one morning a few years ago, I went out into the garden and was suddenly hit by such an unbearable feeling of deep-gutted depression, I could hardly believe what was happening. It went away after an hour or so. I never worked out what caused it, and thank the 'Intelligent Designer' it never returned. However it did have one beneficial effect, I have never there-after dismissed depression as nonsense.

Lord knows how many of us have been lynched or ambushed because some white person decided to tell a lie.

White pepople lie on us because usually they can get away with it. No matter how illogical or outrageous an accusation may be, the presumption of innocence is always given to the white accuser. They know this.

Lying on us strengthens and empowers them on a very superficial level, and it reveals their weaknesses and fears.

No one seems to care if ONE black man is wrongfully inconvenienced by these accusations. With all the MSM coverage, you can't tell me someone at an airport, traffic stop, or foot patrol wasn't hassled behind this.

GailS was right, it is a matter of 'believing' the white person. It is also the fact that many white ppl say a black person because they figure they will be able to use the 'they all look alike' so won't have to give a good description??? Sorry state & why I believe that racist is here to stay for many more years!

Hon - just want you to know that there are a bunch of us out here that care about you & hope you get to feeling better soon. You've warmed our hearts, made us mad, made us think. So thanks to you for that and carry our concern & care with you.
Re the racist false carjacking story, stupidity & racism go naturally hand in hand, so let's hope most of the time, these ignorant morons' stories will be discovered, as this one was, and the myth will loose credibility.

Buck up, Bitch! I know that doesn't work for clinical depression, but there is much work to be done and your voice is needed at least to help me keep my feet on the path and out of someone's ass.
