Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Okay chil'ren, here is the cranberry sauce recipe that a certain Meg posted for this bitch in a comment to my feast preparedness post.

Cranberry Sauce...lifted from Meg in a comment
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 12oz pkg fresh cranberries, rinsed
1 orange, peeled and chopped

Dissolve sugar into water in saucepan
Bring to boil, add cranberries
Turn down heat to low and simmer about 10 minutes until cranberries pop
Turn off heat, add chopped orange
Let cool in pan and serve or refrigerate in a covered bowl until serving time.

Yum!

I got a great one off of the food network site:

1 can of cranberries (not jellied)
1 small can of mandarin oranges
1 cup of walnuts
1 cup of pecans

Mix!

When do you add the vodka?

Forget the vodka. Here's my cranberry recipe. Depending on how much you intend to make you have to adjust the amount of ingredients. I made this for about 24 people:
3 bags of cranberries-chopped fine
1 large can of crushed pineapple
1 granny smith apple-chopped fine
juice of one navel orange
sugar to taste and
a couple good pours of Grand Marnier. Make it at least a day ahead so everything can marinate. Tast and add more sugar and GM if needed....
