This is the normal everyday life of millions of people all over the world. It was my life too on a daily basis. I was born and grew up in the caribbean to a mother who was brutally abused by my father. She got rid of him (divorce) and left with 7 children. There is no child support, social welfare (financial aide) of the sort in those countries. not when I was growing up. Nor was there a Judge to declare/award child support. She had to work as she always did. Our father moved to a different country and so was out of the jurisdiction of our State. I just want to say most of these people need to get up, and get their act together. My mother never allowed us to 'think poor' or behave poor. It is all in the upbringing and values and attitudes you give to your children. She gave us all the opportunities to educate ourselves. She didn't migrate to the USA either to achieve this.

My apologies if this seems callous and uncaring but I am tired of people who wait for 'help' and more help instead of helping themselves. I strongly believe that accepting handouts is not the solution.

These people should move to the caribbean or some other so-called 3rd world country to learn useful 'life' skills.

I am done now, off the rostrum. Enjoy your festivities or whatever you celebrate.

Yes, another bitch who means well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10755833.post-25236887778313758762007-11-21T09:50:00.000-06:002007-11-21T09:50:00.000-06:00Blessings on the bitch who posts like this.Blessings on the bitch who posts like this.Yankee Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11533568911291967397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10755833.post-61980540602367279892007-11-21T08:33:00.000-06:002007-11-21T08:33:00.000-06:00You're so right...people don't only get hungry at ...You're so right...people don't only get hungry at the holidays, or cold either, but I am glad that people come together and give at this time of year. I toured a local food bank a few months back, and they said the food donated this time of year lasts for months, and they are very grateful.Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00653383372182667361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10755833.post-71550490270859046292007-11-21T00:33:00.000-06:002007-11-21T00:33:00.000-06:00It is important to remember to count our blessings...It is important to remember to count our blessings, isn't it?

And know that I consider you one of mine.Maya's Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12183715043200608144noreply@blogger.com
